“objectivity”

although we’d like to be objective
when in postures that project us
listening
perceiving
and even speaking
we will almost always
be less
when we try hard to be what we’re not
so then
i’d like more to be
sincere
be myself
as long as i treat everyone
with grace
with hope
and love
let this, only, be evident
a tangible expression
of being my own extension of
“objectivity.”
