I’ve currently finished reading D. J. A. Clines’ article entitled “The Image of God in Man.” It is an important article if one wants to do studies concerning anthropology or the doctrine of man (according to my lecturer). Quite a challenging read, since I have no background or knowledge about Hebrew. To read the whole article just click on the link above. But for this post I’ll leave with you some stuff from the article:
“Man is created not in God’s image, since God has no image of His own, but as God’s image, or rather to be God’s image, that is to deputize in the created world for the transcendent God who remains outside the world order. That man is God’s image means that he is the visible corporeal representative of the invisible God, bodiless God; he is representative rather than representation…”
Wonderful site and theme, would really like to see a bit more content though!
Great post all around, added your XML feed! Love this theme, too!
