Spiderman and the others wear a mask

Spiderman and the others wear a mask
While Clark Kent uses glasses
With these disguises
They conceal their identity
For the good of humanity

But for some
Their costumes border on the line of simple
Some wear caps
And carry a bag
Some carry notebooks
Wielding a pen
Scribble on paper
Thoughts and ideas
To bring to the table
Their own brand of change
Their own scribblings of wisdom

Some wear suits and a well placed tie
They sit on wooden desks
Balancing checks
Some listen to people and their wounded sufferings
Write down prescriptions
For another’s medical problems
They bring to the table
Their own brand of change
Their own scribblings of wisdom

Some wake early in the morning
Take up their aprons
Cooking breakfast
Sending kids to school
Even fools know what I’m talking about
For they still love their dads and moms
They bring to the table
Their own brand of change
Their on scribblings of well worked out wisdom
One that speaks in the ways of simple
Spiderman and the others wear a mask
While Clark Kent uses glasses
With these disguises
They conceal their identity
For the good of humanity

And sometimes superheroes
Not those we read in comics
Or the ones we watch in movies
Take up their roles not with their custom tailored suits
Nothing exiting
But the mundane apparels
We see and wear everyday
